Another scene, nearly finished, from the Alcott community, near Bishopville, SC. As I was going down this particular dirt road, I turned around and saw this scene...I told my wife, whoa...look at that. I almost missed it...sometimes, it pays to "look back".

I read your description history of the painting and I knew this could have been a place in SC! BTW-this i the painting I was asking Robin about.
Thank you both. Yes, near Bishopville...a small community called Alcott. The old family home is near this road...lots of memories for me.
