My good friend David Boyd Jr took these pics during the walk-thru at last night's show. The crowd was very good...maybe a little large for the walk thru but hey, that's what you hope for. Greg and Jennifer with Dogwood Gallery did an amazing job of putting the show together!! Folks seemed to enjoy the talk and verbal description of the works.

Dogwood Gallery

I delivered most of the paintings and drawings for the upcoming show on Tuesday. Here are a couple of shots of some of the work at Dogwood. The show is Saturday, 6:30-8:30pm. Dogwood Gallery is at 1175 Senoia Road in Tyrone GA just behind the Legacy Theater. Should be a fun night...I'm hoping for a pretty good crowd. I'll be doing a walk-thru talk at 6 and taking questions. I estimate that paintings and drawings combined number around 35 or 40. A large portion of which were created in late 08 and 09.

Monday Night Life Drawing

Erin, as she is prone to do, came in an over-the-top cool outfit. Black evening dress, mask, eye make-up art, black elbow length gloves. Here is a 12-15 minute reclining pose.

On the board

Large painting from an earlier life drawing. "White Tutu" was the drawing title. 30X40 with a good ways to go but I'm liking progress thus far. Will post a final later.

15 minute drawing of Elizabeth with yellow ball. One of our youngest models...8th grader. The dreaded interlocking fingers!! Challenging to draw...in the time allotted that is.

Kaiser originals

A fellow Ringling student recently said he'd had George Kaiser for two years but never saw any of his work. When I was at Ringling, I rented a room from a guy out near the airport. These were hanging in his living room. I talked him into trading them to me for a couple of landscapes that I did. They are signed "George Kaiser 1947" and tell the story of a shipwreck....one guy doesn't survive. The other one sets off into the jungle. Pretty cool.

15 minute drawing from last nights class. Chelsea in white and teal. Pose is nice, modified fetal position...similar to an earlier painting, "Fire"...feet are together and hand is visible in this pose.

Landscape study

Just finished this small landscape from some older reference. 11X14....trying to put together some smaller, less costly works for the upcoming show.
