Talk Art at the Art Talk

No drawing class tonight..instead, I spoke to a group of interested artists and art lovers at Flint Gallery. A good sized group listened to me ramble on about the Ringling days, early illustration days and current work. To my knowledge, they all stayed awake! I talked a little about artists that have had an impact on my life...One of my life long influences as an artist and as a person was my Grandmother Pate. Shown here is a landscape she painted sometime around 1920. Beautiful!!

Beautiful painting Martin! I remember early on when meeting you, how you spoke of her with such great love. Also, your aunt painted and was an influence, right? I would have loved to of heard your talk... XO

Yes Sandra...that's right. My aunt was an illustrator/painter. I'll post some of her work one day.
