A Hard Day's Night

It was one of those nights that come along from time to time. Beautiful model, great outfit, great poses, good music...and then you can't seem to put it all together on paper. Nothing really to post about except this detail I salvaged after I got home...I do like the head in this one. 10-12 minutes. Erin was super as usual. We played some early Beatles, some early Dylan and then some Beatles remix from the "Love" album.

Thanks TP...I wasn't too thrilled with the full drawing but when I cropped in on it, it looked a lot better...blog worthy.

Hi Martin, Thank you for visiting my blog. Your art is wonderful and I especially love the Dance School painting. The softness and the lighting is superb.

Cropping saves me all the time. Hey Martin-this has a kind of watercolor wash look to it-is it?

Steve, you're right, it does but no...it's all conte and pastel...blended with a stump...I think the stump and maybe something about the dark blue pastel gives it that quality. Lori, thanks for the nice words. I'm hoping to do some more works from that same photo shoot at the school...love the setting of your work...looks like a beautiful area up there.
