Valentines Day Art

Nothing says "I Love You" like a magnificent Sunbrella. This is an illustration from way back...mid to late 80's(??) that uses the look of a romance novel to sell outdoor umbrellas. A "novel" idea I say...regardless, it was a fun assignment and appropriate for Valentine's Day. Hope everyone has a good one!

I use to sell "Sunbrella" by Glen Raven mills. I think they are in the Atlanta area. I would tell my customers that I'd only put my labor into fabricating their products with this fabric! It's the BEST! I even used their line of outdoor cushion fabrics to upholster a couple of sofas for inside, their designs began to mimick tweeds and reg.fabrics. With children and in a sunroom, they are great for cleanup and not fading, also did canvas, etc. BLAST fromt he past!
I posted something about "Chimneys" on my page....

Yes, this ad was for Glen Raven Mills. It's been a pretty good while since painting this. It was for a sales brochure that also showed colors and patterns and other pertinent details on how to order.
