Gone Hollywood

I have a poster that I did the art work for that will be appearing in the upcoming movie, Julie and Julia. (Opens this Friday, Aug 7) It's a small role but everybody's got to start somewhere! Eric, husband to Julie (who the movie is about) works for Archeology Magazine and in his real office, has my Yuchi-town poster hanging. They wanted to recreate his office as close as possible so they asked my permission to include the poster in the movie. Keep your eyes peeled!! Shown here is the poster. The original painting is large, around 42X50" or so and hangs at Fort Benning Georgia, where the historic site is. The site is a large creek Indian site shown ca. 1776 and was written about in the journals of naturalist William Bartram.

Big Kudos on getting some art in a MAJOR movie. I was planning on seeing this one, so now have another reason to go!

Just saw the movie-and the poster is in two scenes briefly. Really enjoyed the movie-even if it is a chick flick I guess. OK it IS a chick flick...
