Atlanta Life Class

I finally made it back to the Atlanta life drawing class...it's been a long time. The model was Ann...great, visible bone structure and muscle groups. Drawings shown are 15 minutes or so. Conte and pastel.

Your figure drawing skills are impressive. As I recall in art school you were pretty far ahead of everybody else in figure drawing then too...we had a local figure drawing class near here that I went to a few times years ago. Looking at your work makes me want to see if its still going on.

I encourage you to check back into it. I went for a good number of years without going and did'nt realize how much I missed it until I started back. When my son was considering going to Ringling, I took him to this class in Atlanta to get him some life drawing experience...that was when I got back into it.

Cool-is this the artist group that meets at a gallery in Buckhead near where Oxford Books used to be years ago?
I'm trying to get over to St. Pete this Saturday for a figure drawing class led by former Ringlingite Dean Fortune. It's been about 12 years for me, I'm hoping not to embarrass myself.

Steve- This is a class operated mostly by an Atlanta animation group...currently meeting at Westwood College on Spring Street near 14th St.(they formerly met at Creative Circus) They start with an hour of gestures followed by 3-4 longer poses. You'll need to post your drawings!
