Mr. Pate I was fortunate enough to recieve an earlier work of yours that I am trying to get some info on. This is a print of the Fox Theater. From what I can tell, it seems to be something that you may have done shortly after school. (I read where you recieved an honor in 1981 while in school). Am I correct about that? It is numbered 49 of 75. Does that make it worth more of less since there were 75 issues? Thank you for any info. Your paintings are thought and emotion provoking. I love the one of the little girl asleep with her Ms. Beaszly doll. Thank you. Ms. Tumlin
Ms Tumlin- Thank you for your note. The "Fox Theater" print was produced by Brawner Hospital for some of their employees many years ago...along with prints of other Atlanta landmarks. The prints were given to the workers so it's hard to determine a value. I've never really gotten into doing prints of my work so I don't have a record of values. I do giclee prints of some of my Interpretive art and they start around $175-250 depending on size. The Fox print was my favorite of the series...hope you enjoy it! MP
Michael- I pretty much left the piece as you see it here. I added some color in the legs and a hint of color in the sandals. Thanks for the comment! Martin
