Final, or very nearly so, on the painting of the dance school posted earlier. 20x24...I think I may even have a frame. This would look really nice on your wall.
Unfinished painting of one of the classes at the Newnan School of Dance. The space is an upstairs loft in Newnan's historic downtown. Awesome windows, old plaster and 100+ year old wood floors make for a picturesque setting. I plan other similar works from this recent photo shoot. Stay tuned. This work is 20x24.
....it can happen to you...when you're young at heart. Sing it Frank! Ashleigh V...or should I say, Ashleigh B, posed for us in her wedding dress. Beautiful model and a stunning dress...neither of which I did justice in this 12 minute sketch. I like this pose though and may use it as a study for a painting later. Always fun...thanks Ashleigh!
javascript:void(0) Finished the oil study of Emily M. Not a lot of changes from the last post but some minor touches make a difference. I carried the dark umber tone out to the border in the upper and right side. Other changes include the shadow area of her leg.
Final on 20x24 painting of Chelsea S. Current title is "Quiet Moment". This will be on view at DE Fine Art for the May Buckhead Artwalk in Atlanta...first Thursday in May....May 6th. I'll have some other new works on view and as of now, I plan to be there.
Jimmy Buffett does a version of "Come Monday" on the cd we were listening to tonight(and it just so happens to be Monday night). Dancer Megan K was our outstanding model...awesome gesture poses...I decided to post a couple. 2 minutes on the gesture and 12 minutes on the other. Gesture drawn with a 6b lead on newsprint paper.

Painting underway of dancer, Chelsea S. Sort of a "pre-performance" pose. 20x24. I'm planning on showing this at the May Buckhead Artwalk...first Thursdays. DE Fine Art Gallery. I'll have other new works there as well. I'll post a final on this later and give more information on the art walk.
Erin posed while the fab four sang....the "Love" album to be exact. A small crowd but a good time. Drawing and detail shown is 15 minutes conte and pastel.
